Appreciate Everything in Life

New Years

Okay, so we’re a few days into the new year…but it is still early enough to reflect back over the last week.  Think of at least one good thing that happened this week – or each day even.  Jot it down on a piece of  paper and drop it in a clean jar.  Then as a family activity at the end of the year, open that jar and take turns reading the happy moments your family was blessed with or thankful for throughout the year.  It will be neat to see what made you smile.  It can be easy to think of or remember the bad that happened, so this is a nice change of pace on a bad day if you need a major pick-me-up before the end of the year.

What is something that was positive for you this year already?

  1. I am thankful for the time I have spent with my children and husband over the holiday

  2. I seen this idea somewhere else yesterday. I think it is a fabulous idea! It would also be great to have for your children’s scrapbooks. I have the perfect vintage jar for this and I can’t wait to fill it up.

  4. This is such a great idea! We too often get caught up in all the busyness of everyday life and forget to count our blessings! This is a great reminder to stop and be thankful!!
