Guest Post From Author of Bent PLUS a Giveaway!

Guest Post from H.B. Heinzer, author of Bent…

Last fall, I sat down at my computer and started plotting my first novel.
After all, when I was researching how to write a novel, all the sites said
to sit down and figure out the story, starting with the ending. I even
spent one night watching YouTube videos on how to plot. Yes, I may have
been obsessed but I was determined to do this the right way.
I quickly learned that, for me, writing a novel is like watching a bunch
of toddlers. It doesn’t matter what I have planned, they’re going to do
their own thing. It might sound weird since Bent is my baby, but there
were many, many times when I would read what I wrote the previous day and
wonder where in the heck those words came from. Throughout the blog tour,
I’m going to share some of those moments with you and tell you what was
supposed to happen. There’s also going to be at least one thing I share
that didn’t make the book but was a key in Julia’s life.

To get the party started…

Julia’s job… It was all organized. Julia was going to come back from
Tennessee and Papa Bear Schneider was going to hire her. That’s where she
was going to see Caleb for the first time and she was going to get to know
him from a distance. That’s where she was going to see Micah for the first
time. Schneider’s was going to be a key part of the book.

By the third chapter, Julia kept telling me she wasn’t a waitress. She
needed something more in her life. She needed something that could lure
her back out of Brooklyn. The good news is, that’s about the same time I
started to hate everything about the original storyline and I started from

Social media manager? Hey, it’s a job she could do from anywhere but would
also give her a reason to get out of town when the time came. So yes,
Julia went from housewife to waitress to social media manager. The best
part? Even though Bent may be done, that doesn’t mean Julia’s story has
ended. You’ll love see where she goes from here!

Here’s some info about HB and her book Bent.

You can follow HB Heinzer on facebook and twitter. Make sure you visit her blog too Musings from my alcove and
follow her on Goodreads. And here’s a little bit about HB.

I’ve been reading romance novels for over 20 years now. My fascination
started with my mother’s collection of romance novels which lined half of
one wall in the master bedroom of my childhood home. After I graduated
from high school, life began to interfere with my reading and I didn’t
read nearly as often as I would like.
When my daughter was born, we decided that it would be more beneficial for
me to be a stay at home mom. To fill the income gap, I began freelance
writing for a variety of websites and print publications. From there, I
progressed to writing blogs as a way to hang on to the pieces of myself I
felt slipping away as I filled my roles as wife and mother. Blogging
slowly morphed from a creative outlet for my writing to a way to place
another egg in my work at home basket.
It wasn’t until I attending a blogging conference in 2012 that I was
overcome with the need to write a book. I’d been thinking about it since I
was 15 but it was one of those “someday” dreams. There were two speakers
at that conference who convinced me I needed to do it. Just shy of a year
later, here I am!

My Bent Review and Book Tour, Bent gets a solid 5 stars.

Some of my other friends has enjoyed seeing HB’s progress and results. It
has made them more aware of their dreams and the direction that they want
to go in their life. If you have a dream you must try to fulfill that
dream. It should be your job. These books don’t write themselves and you
can give your creativity an outlet. Hopefully your book will be as well
written as HB Heinzer’s and you gain some new followers and sell some
