There is no better reason to start taking extra special steps to take care of yourself than the HOLIDAYS! You will be seeing family and friends and you want to look and feel your best! How we achieve this feeling is very individual, but for me it is through a few extra pampering steps either when I am showering or after. I am very selective about products that I use on my skin because I don’t want anything to dry my skin or irritate it. I love products that feel rich and supple on my skin and that allow my skin to feel rich and supple after applying them, such a process. Tree Hut Shea Products are a perfect match for exfoliating, cleansing and hydrating.

At the beginning of my showers, and only once a week, I began using Tree Hut Olive & Shea Sugar & Body Scrub with Lavender & Chamomile Scent. This is Certified organic Shea butter combined with certified organic olive oil each lending to moisturizing, hydrating and great feeling skin. The scent is divine and it lends itself to skin soothing. The process of exfoliating my skin makes me feel super cleansed, pure, refreshed and renewed and the scents associated with this scrub lend well to that feeling. There is deep exfoliation yet, my skin remains smooth, non-irritated, not dried, but hydrated and healthy. This is my first step in my pampering.

Once I finish the exfoliation process I then continue to shower. As I shower, I used the Shea Moisturizing Shower Wash. The scent I used was Hawaiian Kukui – a soft smell that lends scent towards greenery. This did not steal moisture but it certainly cleaned well and lathered nicely. I actually applied this to my loofah for a super gentle wash and it cleaned my skin, but it did not dry it as it is gentle an contains Certified Organic Shea Butter and KuKui Extract. The scent was light and fragrant, not over-powering. The natural progression was then to moisturize my skin, even though it was feelings soft and clean already. I began the complete hydration process with the Tree Hut Shea Body Butter Almond & Honey scented.

The scent of the Tree Hut Shea Body Butter is outstanding Natural Almond extract & honey blended with Certified Organic Shea. Tree Hut Shea Body Butter was an after shower moisturizing delight. The smell of Almond & Honey are delectable, to the point that I wanted to eat the body butter(but I did not and it SHOULD not be eaten). Moisture is sealed in and it helps to soften skin that is rough and dry. The smell is enticing, and the Body Butter is just that.. buttery, perfect natural moisturizers that nourish the skin. The body butter includes 27% Organic Shea Butter which helps effectively hydrates the skin. The Tree Hut Shea Body Butter is Paraben Free. I slathered this on, well I would not call it slathering, it is thick so it is more like applying softened butter, but it is not greasy or oily, it simply soaks into the skin and leaves you with skin that looks good and smells Great!

Exfoliation is one of the key items to keeping your skin smooth, fresh and moist, but it is often overlooked by most of us and not done.  It is absolutely necessary to exfoliate to rid the skin of dirt accumulation and nasty toxins that an dry the skin.

Using a sugar scrub, which is what in the Olive & Shea Sugar Body Scrub helps the skin rid the body of dead skin cells.  A little bit of motion from the wash cloth with the sugar scrub and you will create nicely glowing skin.  The sugar scrub helps the skin to remain soft and will help in alleviating  cracking skin.

This trio would make a fabulous holiday gift for anyone that loves to enjoy their shower time and feel cleansed, and hydrated with very little fuss. The combination of Certified Organic Olive Oil and Certified Organic Shea Butter create the perfect combination to combat that cold, dry winter air.
